Joint Project with Birchip Cropping Group

In 2006 VNTFA will begin working on a project with the Birchip Cropping Group aimed at using demonstration paddocks to assist with the adoption of No-Till and the issues raised in starting No-Till farming.

The project will utilise six pairs of paddocks across the mallee and northern wimmera.  Each pair will consist of a No-Till paddock and a conventional paddock.  These paddocks will be used to hold field days and crop walks, where the management practices and decisions in each paddock are openly discussed. 

The project will run for three years with funding provided by GRDC.
